Difficult emotions to handle-anger and depression

Depression and anger are both negative emotions.  But they seemingly are still on opposite ends of the spectrum. One of the two emotions can be be seen by people exhibited by an affected person. And the other one is unnoticeable.

As a family counselor San Diego I have seen both emotions. Both cases need to be attended by an expert if it is already serious. These are issues that cannot be left alone and ignored.  In the case of anger you can harm other people.  In the case of depression you can harm yourself.

So let’s look at the first emotion that is visible, anger. Anger is a volatile emotion. It is natural and is experienced from time to time by all people.  But sometimes people have it go too far.It could seem uncontrollable sometimes.  And if you let it get away from you, it can be.But those will be the times when you have to control.Anger can cause harm to other people not only physically but also emotionally.  If it gets too much you need to seek some anger management San Diego.

The next emotion is called depression. It is not like anger because it can be unnoticeable.Holding in their depression is one of the top reasons. But it will get noticed eventually. When it becomes noticeable, then that would be the time that someone have to seek professional help. Why do someone need to seek professional help?Because harm can be done by a severely depressed person to himself or herself. It is dangerous because people keep it to themselves.  If a person gets to the point of severe depression they need professional help such as depression counselor.

It is difficult when handling emotional problems. Most people undergoing these problems feel like they can overcome it on their own.  Or they feel like they don’t want anybody trying to help them.  But it is at that point that they need help the most.It is not a problem which they can accept that easily. But when you are dealing with emotions that can hurt the affected and the people around him, then you need to do it.
